UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO NOMINATE A SENIOR SIDE THIS SEASON. Please contact our Registrar at pds_registrar@yahoo.com, or our Junior Baseball Coordinator at pdsjuniorbb@gmail.com for more information or to see what your options are.

Senior League (Colts 3) theoretically is for players who are aged between 13 and 16 by the 31st August 2021 however the team usually consists of players aged 14 to 16 years due to the increased pitching and base distances compared to LL.  Second year JL80 players can apply to play up into Colts as well as JL80s.

PRE-SEASON TRAINING TBA..  After this date training will be at our home grounds at Lakelands Oval.

In season training TBA,weekday afternoons from 4:30pm till 6pm at Lakelands Oval.

Senior League (Colts 3) is essentially the old U17 age group and plays with the following dimensions:

  • The game is played on a full-sized 90ft diamond just like seniors)
  • Pitching distance is 60ft just like seniors
  • Runners can lead off bases and may attempt to steal at any time
  • An ondeck batter is permitted
  • There are still restrictions on the number of pitches a Pitcher can throw in any one game and is still age dependent.
  • Every player on a team roster shall be included in the team’s batting line-up for the full duration of the game.
  • There are minimum participation requirements for all players in this age group.
  • There are no catching restrictions.

Saturday Senior League (Colts 3) baseball is still about fun, fair play and enabling all players to have the opportunity to play in every position on the field. Most players in this age group have had some years playing in the younger divisions and have good skill levels and more of an understanding of the rules and plays in baseball.

All Senior League (Colts 3) divisions are played on a Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm.  PDS S/L team will play all metropolitan teams in the Division and games will either be home at Lakelands Oval or away depending on fixtures and teams in the competition.  **Details of the teams included in Senior League Division will be available shortly.**
