Junior League 80 is for players who are aged between 12 and 14 by the 31st August 2020.

PRE-SEASON TRAINING TBA..  After this date training will be at our home grounds at Lakelands Oval.

In season training TBA,weekday afternoons from 4:30pm till 6pm at Lakelands Oval.

Junior League is essentially the old U15 age group and plays with the following dimensions:

• The game is played on a 80ft diamond (not 90ft like seniors)
• Pitching distance is 54ft (not 60ft like seniors)
• Runners can lead off bases and may attempt to steal at any time
• An ondeck batter is permitted 
• There are still restrictions on the number of pitches a Pitcher can throw in any one game and is still age dependent.
• Every player on a team roster shall be included in the team’s batting line-up for the full duration of the game.
• There are minimum participation requirements for all players in this age group.
• There are no catching restrictions.

Saturday JL baseball is still about fun, fair play and enabling all players to have the opportunity to play in every position on the field. 

All JL divisions are played on a Saturday afternoon at 3.30pm.  PDS play Junior League in a Southern League with Rockingham, Melville and Kardinya and games will either be home at Lakelands Oval or away depending on fixtures and teams in the competition.  **Details of the teams included in the Southern League will be available shortly.**

The more competitve and skilled players can try out for the Junior League Club Championship Team (formerly called the JL ALLSTARS).   

Junior League Club Championship Team –

• Consists of our top 12-14 players who are selected from our JL 80 players. 
• The playing format of this competition is different to LL CC in that they play every second Sunday Morning and play 2 games back-to-back with a short break in between. 
• There is an added extra cost to participate in this team. 
• Players from this team also help to form our Charter Team++ which competes in the Junior League State championships.

The more competitive and skilled players can also try out for the Junior League State Championships with our Coastal Bay Shark Baseball Charter.

++CHARTER - COASTAL BAY SHARKS

• Consists of up to 12-14 of the top players from The Junior League Teams from within PDS, Secret Harbour Pirates and Rockingham Rams
• This team will compete at TheJunior League State Championships over the  May Long Weekend. This is held in was held at Crimea Park, Morley last year. Although location for this coming season is yet to be confirmed.
• Possibility in travelling to National Championships in NSW and International Championships at Williamsport, America.
• There is an added cost to participate in this.

• Uniform top - provided by the club
• White baseball pants - mandatory
• Navy blue socks
• Navy blue belt

Protective Gear

•  Protective cup - mandatory
• Mouthguard - optional

FEES for the 2020-2021 season can be paid by direct deposit, cash or eftpos.  PDS also offers Ezi-Debit (forms can be found under the Registration Tab above). To set up an ezi-debit payment plan, please contact pdstreasurer00@gmail.com

A deposit of 50% is required at time of registration.  Full fees must be paid by the first scheduled game of the season. 

Your fees cover:

• Affiliation to Baseball WA and Baseball Australia
• Insurance
• Umpire Fee's to WA Umpire Association
• Uniform shirt which is provided by the club
• Council ground/building hire/fees to the City of Mandurah
• Club and ground equipment
• Maintenance
