Little League is the biggest youth sports organisation in the world.  Softball WA introduced the Little League model during the 2013/2014 season after Softball Australia sanctioned that WA would pilot the program.  It has now been endorsed and Little League Softball is here to stay.

It has been a fantastic achievement to get Softball back up and running in the Peel/Mandurah region after so many years.  Peel Diamond Sports is very excited to now offer softball within its program.  The 2014/2015 season saw the return of softball with games mainly being played at Lark Hill Sporting Complex in the Rockingham Districts Softball Association.

With the commencement of the under 13’s little league softball division, we need to continue to evolve and are keen to introduce an under 16’s division this season so that the children that are too old for under 13’s have a next step to take. This team will continue to be offered as a mixed boys/girls team.

Training is usually held on one weekday evening at Merlin Reserve in Mandurah and games are played mainly at Lark Hill Sporting Complex in Secret Harbour on a Saturday morning.  Previously we were able to negotiate some “home games” at Merlin Reserve and they were very successful, we would hope to negotiate the same again this year.

This year Softball WA are offering a new club championship softball competition in March which we would love to be able to attend.

There is also the opportunity that your child can try out for selection within a joint “charter” team which will play against other Perth charters at a championship competition held in Mirrabooka during April.

If your child has any interest in playing little league softball please do not hesitate to contact our Softball Co-ordinator for any information on: pdssoftball00@gmail.com

We are currently registering interest for the coming 2018/2019 season NOW, so please do not delay in sending through your email so that you can keep informed with all the softball news and events.
